IV Therapy at Horizons

A clinically supervised approach to intravenous fluids and micronutrients.

IV therapy involves administering fluid — and where appropriate selected vitamins, minerals or other prescribed substances — directly into the bloodstream through a vein.

Every patient should undergo an appropriate medical assessment before IV treatment.

Why IV?

Intravenous administration bypasses the gastrointestinal tract and delivers the selected formulation directly into the circulation.

There are established medical situations where intravenous fluid or replacement of particular nutrients is clinically appropriate.

At Horizons, IV therapy forms part of a considered healthcare plan rather than being presented as a miracle treatment.

Potential uses within Horizons are determined following clinical assessment and may include appropriately selected hydration or treatment of confirmed deficiencies where clinically indicated.

For 360 patients, an IV appointment may also be included as an optional component of their care where their clinician considers it appropriate.
